The minimum cumulative average required to transfer a course to the University of Guelph-Humber is 75% for college applicants having completed a diploma. University applicants must have a minimum cumulative average of 70% and a minimum grade of 60% in each course.

Types of Credit AwardedProvides students with the types of credit awarded and a brief definition of each (advanced standing, block, exemptions, equivalencies, specified, unspecified, generic, etc.). |
The University of Guelph-Humber awards advanced standing in recognition of previous learning and may grant either specified or unspecified credit. Exemptions may also be considered, where applicable.
Specified Credit: equates a course taken at a previous institution to be equivalent to a specific course at the University of Guelph-Humber.
Unspecified Credit: recognizes the academic discipline and year level of a course taken at a previous institution and grants credit without equating it to a specific University of Guelph-Humber course.
Exemption: does not grant credit but recognizes the course by exempting it as a required course for degree completion or prerequisite purposes |
Residency RequirementsProvides students with the amount of study they must complete in order to be awarded the credential in which they are enrolled. |
