The amount of transfer credit you can receive is limited by Conestoga College’s residency policy. The policy states that a maximum of 75% of the required program credits may be completed through credit transfer and PLAR for diploma programs; 25% of the program credits must be taken under the direct supervision of Conestoga College faculty. Degree programs do not award advanced standing for more than 50% of the total number of credits of the program based on prior learning assessment. |
Currency/Timing of Previous Postsecondary EducationProvides students with an indicator of the currency required to utilize their previously completed postsecondary education for transfer credit. |
Conestoga College will consider all Information Technology courses completed within the past 2 years for transfer credit. All other currency considerations are dependent on the course and program in which you are enrolled. |

A PLAR assessment at Conestoga College costs $6.94/hour if the course is less than 23 hours and $150.64.00 if the course is greater than 23 hours. All fees are non-refundable. |
Appearance of Awarded Transfer Credit(s) on TranscriptProvides students with the code(s) used to record transfer credits on their transcript and an indication of whether these credits will be included in GPA calculation. |
Transfer credits will be recorded on your Conestoga College transcript as "EX" or “TC” and will not be included in GPA calculation.
