Pathway Details
Terms for renewal or cancellation
This pathway will be reviewed annually. Any change to this pathway will not affect current students. Students enrolled at Nipissing University at the time of any change shall be allowed to complete their degree based on the original terms of this transfer agreement.
Eligibility for Pathway
Applicants who have successfully completed a three-year Business Administration Advanced Diploma program at an Ontario College with a cumulative average of at least 70% or better will be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Distance/Online) degree program.
Credit transfer
Applicants who have successfully completed a three-year Business Administration Advanced Diploma program at an Ontario College with a cumulative average of at least 72% will receive advanced standing up to a maximum of 60 credits. Applicants who have successfully completed a three-year Business Administration diploma program at an Ontario College with a cumulative average of at least 70% will receive advanced standing up to a maximum of 45 credits.
Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution
When 60 transfer credits have been awarded, students must complete 60 credits at Nipissing for degree completion. When 45 transfer credits have been awarded, students must complete 75 credits for degree completion. See our website here for complete degree requirements.
Anticipated normal schedule of student progression
Students may obtain a Bachelor of Commerce degree in two years if 60 transfer credits are received. Students may obtain a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2.5 years if 45 transfer credits are received.
