Pathway Details
Terms for renewal or cancellation
The agreement shall be continuous from year to year; however either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Students enrolled at Laurier's Waterloo Campus at the time of any change shall be allowed to complete their degree based on the original terms of this transfer pathway.
Eligibility for Pathway
Graduates from the Environmental Technician, 4 semester (2 year) diploma program at Fleming College are eligible to apply to to the Honours Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies at Laurier's Waterloo campus. Successful graduates with a minimum overall average of 70% in their second year of the Environmental Technician program may be considered for admission to Laurier.
Credit transfer
Eligible graduates from the Environmental Technician program that meet the minimum grade requirements may receive a maximum of 10.0 credits to count towards their degree. The applicant will receive a block of credits from the Geography & Environmental Studies and Biology departments, with a small selection of elective credits. The pathway will take a minimum of 2 years (4 semesters) of study to complete.
Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution
Students must complete the remaining 10.0 credits of the Honours BA in Environmental Studies degree as outlined in the Wilfrid Laurier University Course Calendar.
Anticipated normal schedule of student progression
Students will take a minimum of 2 years of study in order to complete their Honours Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies degree. Note: there are no bridging or summer requirements that must be completed prior to beginning the academic year in the Fall semester.
