Terms for renewal or cancellation

The University of Guelph-Humber will review this transfer pathway every three years, or sooner if substantive changes are made to the curricula of either program. Any change to this pathway will not affect current students. Students enrolled at the University of Guelph-Humber at the time of any change shall be allowed to complete their degree based on the original terms of this transfer pathway.

Eligibility for Pathway

Graduates from a 2-year Social Service Worker diploma from a recognized institution in Ontario may be considered for admission with a minimum cumulative average of 75%.  Methods of delivery include full-time, hybrid (in class and online) or fully online. Credit transfer

Admitted students will be granted 10.0 credits for a completed 2-year Social Service Worker diploma from a recognized institution in Ontario with a minimum cumulative average of 75%. This is equivalent to approximately 20 courses.

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution

Students applying from a 2-year Social Service Worker diploma from a recognized institution may be required to complete up to 10.0 credits.

 

 

Anticipated normal schedule of student progression

Students applying from a 2-year Social Service Worker diploma from a recognized institution in Ontario may complete the program in approximately 2-2.5 years depending on full-time or part-time study options.

Credential(s) to be granted on successful completion of all required components

Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Family and Community Social Services from the University of Guelph and Social Service Worker diploma from Humber College.
