Pathway Details
Terms for renewal or cancellation
This agreement is effective from the date at which the program was approved, and the pathway shall be reviewed annually to reflect any changes that are made to either program's curriculum. Students enrolled in the receiving institution at the time of any pathway changes will be given the opportunity to complete their studies based on the transfer pathway in effect at the time of enrollment.
Eligibility for Pathway
Graduates of a 2 year Recreation and Leisure Services Diploma Program with a minimum GPA of 2.5 are eligible to enter the 3rd semester of the Honours Bachelor of Therapeutic Recreation Degree in the Winter term can complete the program in 28 months. Summer and Fall term entry options with a different path to completion are also available.
How to apply:
Domestic students will be required to submit an application via Ontario Colleges Application Service (OCAS) and select “degree completion” as their entry semester. Official transcripts showing diploma completion and a final program GPA must be submitted.
International students will apply to the degree via Seneca’s International Student Web Application, and follow up with their Admissions Advisor regarding their pathway eligibility. The student will need their Seneca application confirmation number when they reach out to their advisor. Official transcripts showing diploma completion and a final program GPA must be submitted.

Credit transfer
Graduates of the Recreation and Leisure Services diploma will be granted 13 transfer credits towards this 4-year degree program.
Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution
Students will be required to complete 29 courses plus 1 work integrated learning term.
Anticipated normal schedule of student progression
Graduates of a 2 year Recreation and Leisure Services diploma who enter in Winter term will complete the credential in 6 academic semesters and 1 work integrated learning term (28 months).
Graduates of a 2 year Recreation and Leisure Services diploma who enter in Fall term will complete the credential in 6 academic semesters and 1 work integrated learning term (32 months).
Graduates of a 2 year Recreation and Leisure Services diploma who enter in Summer term will complete the credential in 5 academic semesters and 1 work integrated learning term, however, they will be taking a higher course load in semester 5 and 6 (24 months).
