Pathway Details

Terms for renewal or cancellation

Lakehead University will review this transfer pathway every five years, introducing new amendments as appropriate. Any change to this pathway will not affect current students. Students enrolled at Lakehead at the time of any change shall be allowed to complete their degree based on the original terms of this transfer pathway.

Eligibility for Pathway

Graduates of diploma programs relating to Criminology (e.g. Police Foundations, Law & Security Administration, Community & Justice Services, Protection, Security & Investigation etc.) with a minimum overall 70% average, are eligible to apply for admission consideration to our Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (HBASc) Criminology major program. 

Credit transfer

Eligible applicants will receive 6 full course equivalent courses towards the Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (Criminology major) program.  

Credits that must be achieved at the receiving institution

Students are required to successfully complete all course requirements for their program as outlined in the Lakehead University academic calendar.

Anticipated normal schedule of student progression

Students can complete the Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (Criminology major) program in 3 years, instead of 4.

Credential(s) to be granted on successful completion of all required components

Students will receive an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science - Criminology degree.
