Terms for renewal or cancellation

This agreement is subject to review when curricular changes may have an impact on the agreement. Articulation designates will review the agreement annually to ensure it is current. This Agreement may be terminated with notice of one year. In the event of termination of the Agreement, every effort will be made to ensure that students currently enrolled in the program will not be affected.

Eligibility for Pathway

To qualify for this agreement, students must have:
- successfully completed Centennial College’s Child and Youth Care Advanced Diploma Program;
- a minimum overall average of 75%.

Credit transfer

Students commencing studies in the Child and Youth Care program as of Fall 2016 will receive the following 7.0 transfer credits:

  • CHYS 1002H - Playful Pedagogy
  • CHYS 2000H - Introduction to Research Methods
  • CHYS 2006H - Indigenous Knowledge for Children and Youth
  • 1.0 additional Child & Youth Studies credit at the 3000 level
  • PSYC 1020H - Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
  • PSYC 1030H - Introduction to Psychology Part 2: Social and Personality Perspectives
  • SOCI 1001H - Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
  • SOCI 1002H - Introduction to Sociology II: Exploring Social Life
  • 8.0 additional credits, including the following:
    • Minimum 4.5 credits at the 3000 level or above
    • Maximum 1.0 credit at the 1000 level
