Course Equivalencies Granted

Students entering the Business Fundamentals Certificate program in Fall 2023 or later will receive the following 5.0 transfer credits, provided they meet eligibility requirements:

  • 0.5 ADMN 2100H - Introduction to Marketing
  • 0.5 ADMN 2220H – Organizational Behaviour 
  • 0.5 ADMN 2230H – Human Resource Management 
  • 0.5 ECON 1010H – Introductory Microeconomics 
  • 0.5 ECON 1250H - Introduction to Mathematics for Economics and Management
  • 2.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level

Transfer credits for students who entered the Business Fundamentals Certificate program prior to Fall 2023 will be assessed on a course-by-course basis.

Requirements

To qualify for this pathway, students must:

  • Successfully complete Georgian College’s Business Fundamentals Certificate program;
  • A minimum overall average of 75%.

Transfer credits awarded through this pathway may not apply in full to all degree programs. Students are encouraged to consult an academic advisor regarding the applicability of transfer credits to their chosen program and for assistance with degree planning.

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

Bridging

Students pursuing majors for which equivalent introductory courses are not included in the transfer credit block may be encouraged to complete these courses in the term prior to beginning full-time studies at Trent University. Completing required introductory courses in advance may increase access to upper-year course options during a student's first year of study at Trent University.
