Transfer pathways search

Students entering the General Arts and Science - Liberal Studies Foundation Certificate in Fall 2020 or later will receive the following 5.0 credits, provided they meet eligibility requirements:

• 0.5 PHIL 1200H – Critical Thinking
• 0.5 PSYC 1020H – Introduction to Psychology Part 1: Experimental and Biological Bases of Behaviour
• 0.5 PSYC 1030H – Introduction to Psychology Part 2: Social and Personality Perspectives
• 0.5 SOCI 1001H – Introduction to Sociology I: Critical Foundations
• 0.5 SOCI 1002H – Introduction to Sociology II: Exploring Social Life
• 0.5 WRIT 1001H - Write in Time
• 0.5 unassigned English Literature credit at the 1000 level
• 1.5 unassigned Arts credits at the 1000 level

Transfer credits for students who entered the General Arts and Science - Liberal Studies Foundation Certificate prior to Fall 2020 will be assessed on a course-by-course basis. 

To qualify for this pathway, students must: 

• Successfully complete Georgian College’s General Arts and Science – Liberal Studies Foundation Certificate; 
• A minimum overall average of 75%.

Students interested in degree programs not included in this pathway are referred to the Trent University website for information about admission requirements. Applicants will be considered in accordance with Trent University's general admission requirements. Students who meet the terms of the pathway will be eligible to receive the block of credits, but all transfer credits received may not be apply in full to all degree programs. 

Applicants who do not meet the minimum average requirements, but who are otherwise admissible to Trent University, will be considered for admission based on general admission requirements.

This Agreement will be reviewed annually, or more frequently if significant curriculum changes occur at either institution that may impact the pathway. Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one year's written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the parties will make reasonable efforts to ensure that students currently enrolled in the pathway are able to complete their studies without disruption.
